Mardi Himal Trek is one of the preferred trekking trails in the Annapurna region. The Mardi has been named to the long ridge of the southern slope of Mt. Machhapuchhare, popularly known as fishtail, the most triangular shaped ridge and its summit that from the westerly lower slope of the mountain. Its great skyline is seen even from Phewa Lake at Pokhara. It is situated at the most southerly high point of Mt. Annapurna massif, around these appears majestic grouping of mountains in the central Himalayan that includes five of the 12 highest mountains in the world, all these awaits to this route. Mardi Himal Trek begins at Suiket Phedi nearby Pokhara and climbs up to Dhampus with stunning views of Machhapuchare (6997 m) and the Annapurna Mountain ranges. This is truly a private trail, which is considered to be one of the unique trails in the Annapurna region. For the first few days, you will follow the uphill trail as the trek winds along the ridge through forests of birch, rhododendrons, hemlock and pines and finally brings you right in front of Machhapuchare or fishtail and also to the Annapurna South with Mardi Khola river winding its way through the valley thousands of feet below and making excursion around you will follow the same way and end at Pokhara and fly back to Kathmandu.

Drive from Pokhara Int'l Airport to Dhampush Village and Trek to Pitam Deurali is a relatively short and rewarding journey that combines scenic drives and moderate trekking through lush hills, forests, traditional villages and sweeping views of the mountains and surrounding valleys. The trek from Dhampus is moderately uphill, well-marked, and passes through forested areas and terraced fields and offering panoramic views of the Annapurna range and Machapuchare (Fishtail Mountain). The trail transitions from open fields to more forested paths as you reaching Pitam Deurali and enjoy with spectacular views of Annapurna South and Dhaulagiri.
The trek from Pitam Deurali to Low Camp is a beautiful journey that takes you deeper into the forested trails of the Mardi Himal Trek, offering stunning mountain views and a tranquil atmosphere. The trail gradually becomes steeper and winds through dense forests with occasional openings to view the Annapurna and Machapuchare ranges.
The trek from Low Camp to Mardi High Camp is a captivating journey that transitions from forested trails to open ridgelines. The trail becomes steeper and narrower as you ascend toward High Camp (3,580m). Along the way, you'll pass Mardi Himal Viewpoint, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machapuchare ranges. The views from High Camp are stunning, with the snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna range dominating the horizon.
The trek from Mardi High Camp to Mardi View Point (4200m) Himal Base Camp (4500m) to back Badal danda (3250m) 6/7 hours, is a thrilling adventure that takes you closer to the heart of the Annapurna region. The trail begins with a steady ascent over open alpine meadows and rocky terrain and you'll trek along a narrow ridge, with stunning views of Machapuchare (Fishtail Mountain), Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli, Mardi Himal Peak on clear days. At the summit of the base camp, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the Annapurna range, Mardi Himal Peaks, and the surrounding valleys and descend the same path carefully, as the trail can be slippery and steep.
The trek from Badal Danda to Siding Village (1700M) 3/4 Hours, is a popular route for those descending from the Mardi Himal trek. Siding Village is a charming Gurung village known for its tranquil setting and cultural hospitality, providing a beautiful end to the trek. The trail begins with a descent through alpine meadows and rhododendron, oak, pine forests continues gentler as you approach lower altitudes, with occasional clearings revealing stunning views of the valley from Siding Village.
The drive from Siding Village to Lwang Village (1460m) 1.5/2 hours, involves a scenic drive through the foothills of the Annapurna region, passing terraced fields, small settlements, and lush green landscapes. The initial part of the journey involves a bumpy and narrow gravel road. The route climbs gently toward Lwang, offering stunning views of the surrounding hills and occasional glimpses of the Annapurna range. Lwang Village is a picturesque Gurung settlement known for its tea gardens, community homestays, and cultural charm.
