Jains believe that Ashtapada, the mountain next to Mt. Kailash, is the place where the first Jain attained liberation.  Buddhists believe that Buddha Cakrasamvara who represents supreme bliss lives in Mount Kailash. Bon followers believe that Mount Kailash and the surrounding region is the “seat of all spiritual power.”
