The trek from Mong-La Danda (3,975m/13,040ft) to Dole (4,200m/13,780ft), is a scenic section of the Gokyo Valley trek, characterized by moderate climbs, peaceful trails, and stunning views of the Himalayas. The trek begins with a steep descent through pine and rhododendron forests towards the village of Phortse Tenga, a ascends steeply, the vegetation begins to thin, giving way to alpine scrub and rocky terrain. Dole is a small but charming settlement, primarily serving trekkers.
