Island peak (6183m/20,300ft) also known as Imja Tse is one of the famous climbing peaks in Nepal, located at Everest region. The trekking to this particular peak does not only provide enjoyable moment but also some of the magnificent views of the Himalayas lying in the Khumbu region including the Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Nuptse (7,855m), Lhotse (8,516m), Lhotse middle peak (8,410m) and Lhotse Shar (8,383m) make a semi-circle in the north. The views of Makalu (8475m) in the east, Baruntse (7720m), and Mt. Amadablam (6856m) in the south add more charm while having the summit to the Peak.
The peak was first ascended in 1953 by the British team as part of their preparations for climbing Everest. Tenzing Norgay was one of the members of the first ascent team. This peak is actually part of the south ridge of Lhotse Shar and forms a semicircle of cliffs that rise to the north of Nuptse, Lhotse, Middle Peak and Lhotse Shar. Until you are along with the well-experienced peak climbing guides of our company—Alliance Adventure, you do not need to worry about anything, even if you are the first time in Nepal and want to have experience of climbing the peak. The trekking to the area usually begins from Lukla, where you will reach by direct flight and through Namchhe, Dinboche, Chukung, you will finally reach the base camp and after having successful ascend to the peak, you will return from the same route.

After breakfast Alliance Adventure will briefing you climb Island (Imja Tse) Peak again and last minutes shopping if any missing your gears with last packing and after lunch at 2PM drive from Kathmandu Hotel to Manthali Airport (Ramechhap), it takes 4/5 hours of scenic journey through the hilly terrain, country side of life styel. The jounrey passing through southeast of Araniko and BP highway offers beautiful views.
Flight from Manthali Airport to Lukla Airport (2840m/9,315ft) around 15 minutes and trek from Lukla to Paiya (2,730m/8,957ft) also known as (Chutok) is part of the classic Everest Base Camp (EBC) trail and is an excellent start for trekkers aiming to explore the Khumbu region. Lukla is the gateway to the Everest region and home to the famous Tenzing-Hillary Airport. The trek begins with a gradual descent through scenic villages and rhododendron forests. After Lukla you'll descend towards Surke, a small village nestled in a lush valley passing through dense forests with occasional clearings offering views of the surrounding hills and crossing a few traditional suspension bridges over deep gorges by terraced fields and forests.
Trek from Phakding or Monjo to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft) 6 to 7 hours. Namche Bazaar is one of the biggest market towns in Everest region as Acclimatization place of trekking and expedition. Today begins on the level ground, relative to the environment in which you are! You will cross the river on a high suspension bridge and begin to climb up to Monjo (2,835m) and onto the gateway to the Sagarmatha National Park Entrance in place to protect and preserve this beautiful environment. There is a good rest stop on the way up to where you will see people gathered, admiring the first real chance to see Everest in the distance. On the way up today, you will be rewarded with views of Kusum Kanguru, Thamserku, Konde-Ri and Tawache Peak than we reach Namche Bazaar.
Rest and Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar. Today your Guides will take you to Visitor Center of headquarter Sagarmatha National Park where we can observe an assortment of things related to the first Everest ascendance’s, Sherpa culture and learn about the various plant and animal life of the Everest region. Everest view Hotel (3,880m/12,727ft) which one is highest 5star Hotel high altitude in the world. Namche Bazaar is the main center of the Everest (Khumbu) region and has government offices, Internet cafes, shops, restaurants, a bakery and a colorful market each Friday evening and Saturday.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Deboche (3,820m/12,530ft) 5/6 hours. Today’s journey starts with excellent views of Ama Dablam and Everest view along the trail then descends to Phunki Thanga where it takes 2-hour to climb to Tengboche Monastery, one of the biggest Monasteries in Solu Khumbu region. The religious center of the Khumbu region and then trek walk down to Depoche.
The trek from Deboche to Dingboche is part of the iconic Everest Base Camp (EBC) trail and offers stunning views of the Himalayan peaks along with culturally rich experiences. The trail begins with a gradual ascent through rhododendron forests and you’ll cross suspension bridges continues gradually climbing up to Pangboche Village, is one of the oldest Sherpa village in Everest region.The trail becomes steeper and close-up views of peaks like Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and you’ll cross another suspension bridge over the Imja River before the final stretch to Dingboche.
Rest and Acclimatization in Dingboche after Nagkar Tashang Peak hiking and enjoy the outstanding mountain views, particularly the north face of Ama Dablam and Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. There are several walk options enabling your body to acclimatization.
The trek from Dingboche to Chhukhung is a short but rewarding journey in the Everest region, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. It’s often undertaken as part of an acclimatization as preparation for highe passes or climbing. The trail begins with a gentle ascent along the Imja Khola Valley of views Mount Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Nuptse dominate the landscape. Chhukhung is a small village surrounded by towering peaks. It serves as a base for climbers heading to trekkers venturing to Island Peak Climbing or Kongma-La Pass. After lunch hike up to Chhukhung Ri (~5,550 m / 18,208 ft) for panoramic views of Ama Dablam, Makalu, and Lhotse.
Trek from Chhukung to Island Peak Base camp (5,200m) 3 to 4 hours: The path from Chhukung leads fairly steep way climbing south then turning east to the main line of the valley. Then winds along or below the southern flank of the moraine from the Lhotse Glacier. We continue short pleasant walking along a streamside. The route to the Amphu Lapcha lies to the southeast. A criss-cross route through the Imja Tse and Lhotse glacier moraines leads to a wide valley flanking the SW side of Island peak. Overnight at Island Peak Base Camp.
(Pre-Climb Training: After lunch, your climbing guides will provide training on peak climbing techniques and using climbing gears such as ice axe, climbing boot, and crampons, harness, ascended, etc and on how to go up and down using ropes. Although it is not mandatory to have prior training experience for Island Peak Climbing, we believe that some training experience will boost up your confidence and climbing skills to increase the chances of scaling the summit as well as to fully enjoy the experience.)
Island Peak (Imja-Tse) Base Camp to Island Peak (Imja-Tse) summit (6,189m/20,305ft) and back to Base Camp 10/11 hours climbing destination and today is your important and special day of expedition. Island Peak (Imja Tse) is a popular climbing peak in the Everest region of Nepal. You have to wake-up early in the morning around at 1/2am and hot breakfast, and get ready to climb. The beginning will be cold but whence start to walk will getting warm up your body. The trail of snow, along the walking first ray of the sun hit top of the peaks will amazing red gold color.
The ascent from base camp to the summit is typically divided into three sections:

From the summit you'll enjoy the panoramic views including Lhotse, Makalu, Ama Dablam and more surrounding peaks. The climbers typically spend a short time on the summit due to altitude and weather conditions, quickly back to Base Camp and rest in camp.
Reserve day at Island Peak (Imja-Tse) Base Camp is an essential buffer for summit attempts on Island Peak (Imja-Tse) (6,189m/20,305ft). This day can be used for multiple purposes: waiting for better weather, further acclimatization, or resting to recover from fatigue. Summit day requires clear weather for safety and visibility. High winds, snowfall, or low visibility may delay the climb.
If the trek to Base Camp was particularly exhausting, this day allows you to regain strength for the demanding summit day.
The trek from Island Peak Base Camp to Pangboche Village is a scenic descent through the heart of the Everest region, combining glacial landscapes with traditional Sherpa villages. The descent through rocky and glacial moraine trails and Well-defined trails with gradual passing through stone-built villages and juniper forests continues Pangboche village is known for its ancient monastery (Pangboche Gompa), one of the oldest gompa in the Khumbu region.
The trek from Pangboche to Namche Bazaar is a descent that offers fantastic views of the Himalayas and passes through picturesque villages, forests, and cultural landmarks. It’s a moderate trek with some uphill sections, making it a fulfilling end to your journey deeper into the Everest region. The trail mostly downhill with some uphill till to Namche Bazaar.
The trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla Airport marks the final leg of the Everest region of Ama Dablam Base Camp. It’s mostly a descent through picturesque villages, suspension bridges, and forested trails, though there are some challenging uphill sections. The final stretch involves a gradual ascent to Lukla, passing through villages and celebrate complete your mission with Guide and Potters.
The flight from Lukla Airport to Manthali Airport (Ramechhap) is a common alternative to the traditional Lukla-to-Kathmandu route, especially during peak trekking seasons (spring and autumn). Airlines often reroute flights to Manthali due to congestion at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport. The drive from Manthali Airport (Ramechhap) to Kathmandu is a scenic road journey that typically takes 4 hours, depending on traffic conditions and enjoy the Hot Shower after long your Climbing Island Peak (Imja-Tse).
