Nar Phu Trek is one of the newly opened trekking in Annapurna region. It was opened for the trekkers only in 2003. This trekking has been considered one of the best routes for trekking for those who would like to capture the scenic views of the majestic mountains and natural landscapes in the high land. The Phu is the most beautiful medieval village where you can learn the real lifestyles of Bhote communities; enjoy and have a pleasure of the fabulous and typical landscape of the valley. This is the first major day of the Nar Phu Valley Trek, leaving the main Annapurna Circuit and entering a remote, restricted Himalayan valley. Koto is first checkpoint of Restricted Nar Phu Valley Trekking Permit. The trail walking thorugh cross a suspension bridge over the Nar Khola. The trail entering narrow canyon with pine forest & gradual climb along the river, waterfalls and deep gorges. The trek to Phu Valley one of the more remote and less-traveled Himalayan trails. The route roughly tracks alongside the glacial river, moving through rocky landscapes and narrow gorges and you’ll likely go through hamlets such as Chyakhu and Kyang, often with stunning mountain views (Pisang and Annapurna II). This is one of the most beautiful and culturally rich sections of the Nar–Phu Trek. The trail is dry, open, and less forested compared to lower Annapurna trails — very Tibetan-style landscape. The trek descend toward the river valley & crossing suspension bridges over the Phu Khola with gradual climb through rocky landscape and yak pastures. The trail passing small seasonal settlements, mani walls and continues ascent to Nar village.

This section is one of the highlights of the Nar–Phu Valley trek, offering panoramic views of the Annapurna and Manang Himalayas. High mountain pass, cold and windy you have to wear keep warming jackets & Tharmal sets. The trek start early in the morning at 4AM/5AM steep climb through rocky and barren alpine terrain, occasional snow patches, depending on season and excellent panoramic 360° views of Himal Chuli, Annapurna II, and Gangapurna and Nar–Phu Valley, Annapurna Massif, and Manang region.
