Sikles Trek has been one of most demanded and loved trekking areas in the Annapurna region. This is one of the picturesque trekking trails that unfold the natural beauty, where you can explore the charming villages, intriguing patterns of terraced fields, rhododendron forest and high alpine meadows nestled below the towering mountains of Annapurna II (7937m) and IV (7525m). This trekking is also known as royal trek as Prince Charles had a trek through the area in 1980 to visit the villages of Gurkha recruits, as part of an effort to develop this into a model Eco-trekking route.
Sikles Trek begins from Pokhara, where you reach either by direct flight or bus from Kathmandu, generally, you will camp near the Begnas lake, next day you begin the trekking from Begnas Tal (Lake) and heads to the north to Baral along with the Madi Khola. Subsequently, to Chymarang and finally you will reach at well-preserved Siklis (1,980m) through the Gurung villages. Throughout the way, you will have magnificent views of Himalaya, farms and scattered forests filled with various kinds of birds. You make trips along the Sikles and explore the areas which have not yet been explored and then you will head up to Hoga and explore the areas and take snaps of the Himalayas and natural inhabitants of the area and then you will head to Chipli, Burijung Khola, Bharaburi and then to Chisopani and subsequently you will reach Pokhara and return back to Kathmandu.

The drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara Lakeside is one of the most popular road trips in Nepal, offering a mix of cultural and natural experiences. Trek from Kalikasthan to Lama Khet is the second leg of the Sikles Trek, offering a journey through lush forests, terraced farmlands, and traditional villages. This segment is moderate in difficulty and provides excellent views of the surrounding hills and mountains. The trek with a gentle descent through terraced farmlands and small Gurung settlements, offers panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges and nearby valleys and passing through traditional villages like Thulokot and Mastan Saurani, where you can observe daily rural life. The trail leads into subtropical forests with diverse flora and fauna continues crossing small streams and rivers, with occasional suspension bridges providing photo opportunities toward to Lama Khet village.
The trek from Lama Khet to Sikles is a scenic and culturally immersive part of the Sikles Trek or nearby routes, showcasing the natural beauty and traditional lifestyles of the Annapurna region. Sikles, a large Gurung village, is renowned for its preserved culture and panoramic mountain views. The trail begins with a gradual ascent through terraced farmlands and small settlements continues you’ll pass local farms and have opportunities to interact with villagers going about their daily routines. The trek through lush forests filled with rhododendron, oak, bamboo and opportunities to spot birds and other wildlife. Sikles Village, is one of the largest and oldest Gurung villages known for its traditional Gurung culture, stone-paved alleys, and well-preserved architecture in the Annapurna region and offering panoramic views of the Himalayas.
The trek from Sikles to Neuli Kharka is a lesser-traveled yet rewarding journey that takes you deeper into the Annapurna region's pristine landscapes. This trail offers a mix of forested paths, ridgelines, and expansive views of the Annapurna and Lamjung Himal ranges. The trek leaving the stone-paved paths of Sikles village and gradually through terraced fields and traditional farms. The trail enters dense rhododendron and oak forests listen for birds sounds and keep an eye out for wildlife, such as langurs or Himalayan pheasants. The trek from Neuli Kharka to Ghale Gaun is a captivating journey that blends remote wilderness with cultural immersion. Ghale Gaun, a picturesque Gurung village, is renowned for its stunning Himalayan views and rich cultural heritage. This leg of the trek offers breathtaking scenery, traditional village life, and opportunities to connect with the local Gurung community. The trek escend gradually through lush alpine meadows and into dense forests of oak, rhododendron, and pine forests.
