Tilicho Pass and Masokanto-La Pass Trekking is one of the popular trekking trails in Annapurna region. It is considered to be one of the fabulous trekking trails as it offers natural beauty, majestic Himalayas, flora, and faunas. Tilicho is only the lake situated at the highest point of earth (at the height of 5200m from the sea level). The lake lies on the north side of the Annapurna Himal, just below Tilicho Peak (7134m). There is an exciting and beautiful route and well suited for to have trekking in the region. Tilicho Pass and Masokanto-La Pass trekking begins with the flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara or drives from Kathmandu to Besishar then follows Annapurna circuit route until you reach Tilicho lake and the surroundings. One of the features of this trekking is that you will have a chance to explore the lake situated at the highest point of the earth and also the endangered animals and birds. You will also have chance to pass basically two passes—Masokanto la (5099 m) and Tilicho pass (5,230 m) and you will then have scenic views of the mountains including of Mt. The drive from Syange to Chame is an adventurous journey through the rugged terrain of the Annapurna Circuit, following the Marsyangdi River and passing through picturesque villages. This drive takes you deeper into the mountains, offering stunning views but also challenging road conditions. The road climbs steeply from Syange, passing through villages like Jagat, Chamje, and Tal and the drive offering spectacular views of Annapurna II, Lamjung Himal, and Manaslu, along with pine forests and terraced fields.
The trek from Chame to Upper Pisang (3,300M/10,826ft) 5 to 6 hours, is a stunning segment of the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal. It takes you through the high-altitude landscapes of the Marsyangdi Valley, with picturesque views of the Annapurna range, Tibetan-style villages, and a unique alpine environment. The trail you'll pass Braga (Braka), a quaint village with ancient Tibetan-style architecture and visit the Braga Monastery, perched on a hilltop, which is one of the oldest and most significant gompas in the region. The trek from Tilicho Base Camp to Tilicho Lake (4,919m/16,138ft) 4/5 hours, is one of the most breathtaking and challenging sections of the Annapurna region, taking you to one of the world’s highest-altitude lake. The trail offers unparalleled views of towering peaks and pristine alpine landscapes, making the effort truly rewarding. The trail begins with a steep and consistent ascent, winding through loose scree, rocky terrain, and alpine meadows.
