The Golden Trekking Trail showcases the beauty of Nepal's hills, villages, and Himalayan landscapes, offering an authentic trekking experience beyond the popular routes.
The Kokhe Danda & Mohare Danda Trek is popularly called the “Golden Trekking Trail” because of its rare mix of golden mountain light, golden forests, golden grassland, and golden values of community-based, eco-friendly trekking.
The trail passes through vast rhododendron forests, oak and pine woods. In spring, red and pink rhododendrons mixed with soft sunlight create golden-tinted landscapes, especially around Kokhe Danda and Mohare Danda.
The route is specially designed for those trekkers who love to see and enjoy the flora and fauna and panoramic view of the Himalayan range. The trekking route takes to the most spectacular mountain scenery, charming settlements of Ethic groups and their slate-roofed houses, incredible rhododendron forests and deep sub-tropical valleys. Along the route, there is the Ghorepani poon hill (3210m) one of the best panoramic view centers of Annapurna trekking, Muktinath, and Annapurna sanctuary. While having trek, you will pass through the gorgeous lowlands of the wonderful high mountains and breathtaking scenes of the Annapurna range. Mohare Danda begins in the terraced foothills close to Pokhara.
