The journey of the adventure towards Tembathang Village by four-wheel jeep an off-road express through Dolaghat Sunkoshi River. We will have a lunch stop and then continue on a winding dirt road Tembathang is a Sherpa Village with pure Sherpa culture about 150 Houses, some stupas and Mani wall. It is a beautiful settlement of Sherpa people. These people encourage trekkers to stay in their home instead of camping outside. They are very eager to showcase their unique culture and tradition. Rara Lake is situated in the far-western region of Nepal, within the Rara National Park in Mugu district. It is the largest lake in Nepal, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and pristine wilderness.
The best time for the 11 Days Rara Lake Trek is during the autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May) seasons. These months offer clear skies, mild temperatures, and optimal trekking conditions.
The trek is considered moderate, requiring a good level of fitness. It involves ascending and descending rugged terrain, with some challenging sections, especially at higher altitudes. Previous trekking experience is recommended.
Rara Lake is located at an altitude of 2,990 meters, with the trek reaching a maximum altitude of around 3,600 meters. Altitude sickness is generally not a concern for most trekkers, but it's essential to acclimatize properly and stay hydrated.
You'll need a TIMS (Trekking Information Management System) card and a Rara National Park entry permit. These permits are required to access the park and trek in the region.
